Public Relations Account Executive

Account Executive with 5 years or more of experience, preferably for a range of clients. BMF offers the full range of communications services (Marketing, Public Relations, Advertising, Public Affairs, Issues, Reputation and Crisis Management, Social media, Graphics, etc.). Candidates for this position should specialize in PR/media relations and possess strong writing skills and a high degree of sophistication. Additional skill sets an asset. Duties:
Leadership on multiple public relations accounts; team membership on others, based upon collaborative assignments
Creation and implementation of PR, media relations, community relations strategies designed to maximize value for clients and ensure successful outcomes
Collaboration on and implementation of reputation based strategic communications for corporate and litigation-based clients
Press outreach on behalf of clients, and maintenance of strong media relations (local and national)
Participation in media training sessions as appropriate
Active participation in strategy sessions on behalf of all agency clients
Coordination with design team/art department on relevant projects
Interaction with agency partners around the world to ensure best practices on behalf of all BMF clients
Willingness to work beyond traditional business hours as needed
Commitment to providing polished and professional work that speaks to who we are as an agency
Travel on behalf of clients, as needed
Qualifications:
5 years in PR / Marketing, preferably in an agency environment
Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and to keep clients apprised of status and progress
Strong writing skills
Demonstrated success in media relations / story placement
Ability to distill complex issues
Ability to work as part of a successful team, as well as the ability to take ownership and be a self-starter, as circumstances dictate
Desire to stay at one agency and grow for minimum of three years
Added value:
Demonstrable experience with reputation management, litigation support, crisis management and/or media training
Social media experience

Position Responsibilities
Consultative inside sales position managing outbound calls & working campaigns with an average monthly spend per customer of $8K to $25K. Focus is primarily on retaining and up-selling the existing customer base.
Responsible for creating an ongoing relationship with Sales Engineers, Implementation/Billing Specialists and vendor partners to deliver the complete line of Verizon voice, data, IP network, Security, Cloud and CPE products/services. ISR is responsible for managing forecast, FOD, opportunity creation, proposal and contract creation, order submittal.. The primary sales activity for this role will be farming in an inside sales environment
75% Identifies opportunity and designs, proposes and sells integrated voice, data, LD, IP network, Cloud, Security and CPE solutions to moderate/high value medium business market customers via telephone based selling.
Partners with customer to understand their business, industry, and competition to identify present and future needs in a consultative selling approach.
Meet/exceed revenue objective (and Standards of Performance as reviewed with manager on a monthly/quarterly basis) consisting of moderate-high complexity products (voice/data CPE, complex voice, integrated voice and data, data networking, and affiliate to include Private IP, Voice over IP, Managed Services, Security, Cloud, CPE, Dedicated Internet Access, as well as traditional legacy voice and data services).
Exceeds customer expectations in the area of quality account management.
Interfaces with and is proficient using Customer Relationship Management, Account Planning and Order Entry systems (OneSource and Salesforce.com)
15% - Coordinates pre-sale, technical support and sales implementation processes. Creates custom proposals, accurate pricing and network configuration. Partners with the Sales Engineers and Product Specialist teams.
10% - Responsible for all continued improvement/ongoing education as it relates to technical, applications, sales and systems training including completing competency tests.
Required Skills & Experience
Degree Preferred or a minimum of 1 year of proven business to business sales experience.
Excellent organizational skills.

Compensation for this position is made up of a Base Salary plus commission.
